I think the recent move of content to the main page is a good idea. I suggest other things to improve it:
- move the history down, under the intro paragraphs.
- eliminate the first heading... so the table of contents will come after the introductory paragraphs.
- eliminate the 'you can only read the wiki' section... if they are here they know they can read it and if they try to edit they will learn they cannot.
- eliminate duplications in the resources section.
With this done it will look more like: http://openhpsdr.org/wiki/index.php?title=User:VK2NRA/sandbox4
