Welcome to the editing team

We need a lot of 'wiki' development as most of the HPSDR community is focused on RF hardware... though getting more focused on software. They tend to 'forget' the community documentation - I see it as critical to building a larger team. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 23:52, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Richard, I agree. I'm not sure how to communicate using these pages. It seems like I should be talking on your page now. Will give this a try and see what happens. --W9KFB 23:57, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes, you should probably write on my page.... but because I watch the recent changes page ---- I am likely to note your reply to my comment on your page. If the wiki was busy that would get to be hard. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 00:04, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Your HPSDR based rig

Could you do a block diagram? and upload it please? Richard Ames, VK2NRA 00:55, 2 August 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I needed a block Diagram too. I will use Keynote on my Mac to make one. Should have it uploaded within 24 hours. Thanks!--W9KFB 07:18, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
I moved your reply over here as I think it is much easier to follow a conversation on one page. I look forward to the block diag. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 07:26, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Yes I agree, this is much easier to follow. --Ron Cox, W9KFB 07:32, 2 August 2009 (UTC)
Richard, The file has been uploaded. If any changes are required, just let me know and I will make them. Any preferred font for the block diagrams??--Ron Cox, W9KFB 01:35, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, Will probably run the pic on the front page in a few weeks (after I use up the backlog) and reference the block diagram. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 02:11, 3 August 2009 (UTC)

Person - 1st vs 3rd

A great start on the complete HPSDR transceiver article(s).

May I suggest you write the article in the 3rd person? I think it will make a more durable article that reflects the goal of being community documentation.

What do you think??? I am not completely sure what is best, please comment. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 22:29, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

I agree, I will change it over as soon as I can get back on it.--Ron Cox, W9KFB 23:17, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Please avoid all capitals

I know whoever started the HPSDR wiki liked all capitals ---- but I think it was a mistake. Please see the article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_caps and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:MOSCAPS

I think mixed case is much more readable. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 22:09, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

I agree, if I used all caps, I was following the style of the other headings. I don't usually type in all caps unless I hit the all caps by mistake, then I usually go back and correct it.--Ron Cox, W9KFB 23:20, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Article, discussion pages, userpage

Ron - The article is coming along well - thanks for all the contribution.

I wrote one note on the discussion page of the article. You might want to make sure it is on your watchlist - you can add it manually or change your preferences to automatically add any page you edit (and their discussion pages) to your watchlist.

You might like to put a bit of info in your user page (most editors have not, so don't feel you need to)..... Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 23:06, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Richard, Thanks for the encouragement! Sometimes I find my self waking up from a half hour nap after falling asleep at the keyboard.--Ron Cox, W9KFB 23:48, 9 August 2009 (UTC)
I like the table on the BOM ... Looks great...--Ron Cox, W9KFB 23:56, 9 August 2009 (UTC)

Liberties

Ron - I took the liberty of making your bio picture smaller and moving it to the right. Regards, Richard Ames, VK2NRA 06:25, 10 August 2009 (UTC)

Looks much better Richard. Thanks for all you do. --Ron Cox, W9KFB 06:45, 10 August 2009 (UTC)
