UGGG One of my orders to this surplus
house was transit cases to carry my radio gear to Belize for the contest. I didn’t
read the ‘open’ – ‘close’ instructions, but got
it figgered out. The case worked SPLENDIDLY. The only thing was that it came
out with all sides ‘bellied in’ since it has a watertight seal! I
should have drilled a coupla holes for changes in pressure! (smile). I now wish
I had shipped my station and computer in the second one I bought. I bought a ‘very
rugged’ looking file box from Office Depot which was an inch too large to
take as carry on. Gate checked, it arrived in Belize with the 1/8 inch fiberboard
bottom falling out along with my radio and computer. The owner of the shack we
leased gave me a very rugged looking case he uses to ship stuff back and forth to
Belize,
that he got from Wal-Mart. The latches broke open, had to be tie wrapped by
unknown baggage handlers or customs inspectors. My computer was scuffed
terribly and came back ‘intermittent’! (shoulda stuck with the
Transit cases!)
I have gotten quite a number of things
from this surplus place and have always been satisfied with prompt service.
Just thought I’d throw it in for the ATX at 8.95 (smile)

Specials - Kinda like this vendor - Have an ATX Supply on sale.
What ever happened to the days where power supplies were so expensive
that most of us would build them ourselves?
Take a look all the way at the bottom of the page, there is a interesting case,
but I noticed that they labeled the open and close pictures, the way I figure
it if you need to have the pictures labelled then you have no business messing
with the box, you will hurt yourself. :-P
