Everyone that mentions the speed of the USB port says it can send up to 1 megabyte/Sec, which is a little on the low side if you want to do high speed sampling. At 96KHz sampling you are running it at over 50%, at 192KHz forget it.

I would think that since we can't have drop outs, we should not push the chip too close to it's limits. Just an opinion, subject to change if proven to be incorrect.
